Have you ever thought of having a winter swim somewhere hard to imagine? How about a swim at the End of the World? Now you have the opportunity to fulfill your dream!

From 21st to 26th September 2016, Swim Argentina organizes the first ever open water event in Ushuaia, at the End of the World with a great challenge for winter swimmers – a 10 kilometre international relay swim from Puerto Navarino (Chile) to Ushuaia (Argentina), across the cold waters of the Beagle Channel.

The authorities of Chile and Argentina have come together for this outstanding swim. They offer free accommodation in Ushuaia for international swimmers, a tourist program to explore the city of Ushuaia, and a special dinner for all contestants. For those who wish to extend their stay in Argentina and get to know Buenos Aires before or after the event – 5 hotel rooms in San Telmo are available for free.

The swim will be supported by the Argentine Naval Prefecture with one large boat, 4 zodiac boats and secured with a medical crew. Swimmers from different parts of the world will join this spectacular sporting challenge with a message of peace and friendship in every stroke.
