With the first stage of the IWSA World Cup finished, we are proud to say, that the organizing team of JRC 2017 did an amazing job.
A total of 290 swimmers from 16 countries took part in the event, which makes it the most attended JRC in history of the championships. For results, please visit www.jelgavasroni.lv
But individual swims were not the only part of the championships this year. All swimmers who attended the team relays were able to compete for the "Jelgavas Roņi Cup" in two age groups - S1 (<150 years total age) and S2 (>150 years total age). 17 teams in total competed, with the award going to team Belgart-1 of group S1, and Belgart-6 in group S2.
Besides all of this, each representative of a country was gaining points for the "Nations cup", with the award going to Latvia third year in a row.
An incredible start of the season, but with the event over, we look forward to Vladivostok, and the second stage of the IWSA World Cup.
